Tamworth International Event – August 2014

Tamworth International ODE – A successful weekend for the Bradgate Park horses!

In the CIC 1* Bradgate Park Dante and Bradgate Park Fonzie were 2nd and 3rd respectively.  In the feel good moment of the weekend Bradgate Park Priscilla won her first Pre-Novice start with son Bradgate park Donovan, winning the introductory B at his first outing.
All horses finished on their dressage score.
Taylor Foley our irreplaceable working pupil nearly got one up on Andrew, beating him in the dressage by a point and leading the Intro B going into the cross country. Unfortunately an uncharacteristic stop at the water ended our dreams of ribbing Andrew for the rest of the week.

Bradgate Park Dante ( aka Dangles) is a 6 yr old by Dutchman out of an Appaloosa mare. He had his first  1* start at the recent SIEC event placing 7th. We are all very excited about Dangles prospects for the future.
Bradgate Park Fonzie ( aka Fonzie) is a 6 yr old by Falstabo out of a Jazz mare. Tamworth was his first 1* start and he is Andrew’s absolute star and favourite.
Bradgate Park Priscilla is a 9 yr old by Sandro Hit.  A standout that everyone stops to watch she is an absolute pleasure to train and everyone’s pick to ride.
Bradgate Park Donovan is out of Priscilla (hence her late start to her performance career) by Don Primo. Donovan is showing all the talent of his amazing mother and behaved impeccably at his first outing.

Thank you to the organisers of this great event.  Sharmayne Spencer and the other members of this hardworking committee. The highlights for us would have to be the indoor show-jumping and arriving at 9pm on  the Friday night to find the fabulous stables filled with loads of shavings!!!
