State Show-jumping Championships 2011
Andrew and I went to Gundagai for the long weekend! We took the horses of course and Andrew was loving his favourite girl “Annie” aka “Yalambi Ultima V” who placed 3rd in the 1.30 and 4th in the 1.25. Owned by the Avery family she is truly a fabulous mare. Andrew’s own Dexter was batting the rain away with his lovely white eyelashes and placed 3rd in the 1.20 on the saturday, 2nd in the 1.20 on the Sunday and jumped a great round for 4 faults in the 1.35. “Bradgate Park Aarmani” owned by John and Bev Healey kept up his ribboned streak by placing 3rd in the 1.10. He makes a habit of this third place, he nabbed two others in the 1.05 and 1.10 at the Spring Championships at Maitland a few weeks ago. Not bad for an eventer:)
Rio and I didn’t get any ribbons but I was stoked that he managed to haul his large stomach around the 1.20 tracks. He should get a ribbon for that feat alone! We jumped clear on the saturday and had one down on the sunday. The rail was my fault entirely, I was running late after getting lost coming back from Canberra from my friend Derek’s 40th party on the Saturday night, and I was tired as I’m completely soft. 40 is so old Derek!!!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY
